Santos Laguna and Chivas have agreed to the temporary transfer of Josecarlos Van Rankin Galland.
Van Rankin plays as a right-back and was born on May 14, 1993, in Mexico City.
The 26-year-old’s experience in Liga MX is an important factor, having amassed more than 200 games in his career.
He made his professional debut in the 2012 Clausura Tournament with Pumas where he spent his formative years. After a brief spell with Pumas Morelos, he returned to the first division and remained with the University team until the 2018 Clausura when he was transferred to Chivas.
At the national team level, he's appeared for the U-20, U-23, and senior teams. He was a member of the 2013 CONCACAF Championship U-20 team and won the silver medal with Mexico U-23 at the 2015 Pan American Games.
His first game with the senior team was on October 11, 2018, against Costa Rica.
He is known for his aerial presence and ability to switch fluidly from marking in defense to aiding in the attack.
