Club Santos Laguna announces the signing of Alan Cervantes on a definitive transfer ahead of the 2020 Clausura.
Alan Jhosué Cervantes Martín del Campo, born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on January 17, 1998, joins Los Guerreros with a wealthy amount of league and youth national team experience.
The 21-year-old-midfielder has four tournaments of first division games and three Copa MX tournaments under his belt and featured for Mexico's youth teams in the U-17 and U-20 World Cup.
Coming from the ranks of Chivas' youth system, he made his professional debut in the 2017 Apertura with León, where he played on loan until the 2018 Clausura. Upon his return to Guadalajara, he was a part of the Chivas team to win the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League, and later, in the Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates that same year.
With Mexico's youth national teams, Cervantes was a part of the 2015 U-17 World Cup squad in Chile, the 2017 U-20 World Cup team in South Korea, the 2018 Central American Games in Barranquilla, Colombia, and finished as runner-up with el Tri U-21 in the 2018 Toulon Tournament.
He is characterized by his dynamic style of play, versatility on the pitch, and his aerial presence.
