Team captain Jonathan Orozco is certain that los Guerreros are on the right track despite a 3-0 loss to Necaxa Sunday night in Aguascalientes.
After the game, "Jona" addressed media with regard to the game which saw two disallowed goals against los Guerreros and a dominant performance all around, where Santos maintained an average of 56% possession througout 90 minutes.
"The team generated chances, they had oportunities, we just didn't complete them.," he said. "Maybe we were a little weak when marking, 3-0 is a big loss but there are things we can fix. And the goals, well, we need to be better up top. For us, what we're left with is that we need to do things well and work hard from now until Friday for the game against Rayados."
The 33-year-old veteran voiced his confidence in the defensive lineup and the team in general despite the first loss of the season.
"Jose (Javier Abella) plays outside and he played a great game as a central defender, and Felix (Torres) is adapting to Mexican soccer and obviously he needs to become more accustomed to these types of rivals and their strengths and weaknesses," he said.
"We have players who are doing things well, and today, unfortunately wasn't our afternoon but we have a game this Friday to look forward to on our field, in our house and with our people against Rayados to change things."
